Example
Venice 5
Genoa 3
Barcelona 3
London 1
Paris 0
Hamburg 0
In this case the player wants Genoa more than Barcelona and Paris more
than Hamburg.
Then whoever has the highest overall bid pays and gets his choice, then
the next highest etc. Ties are broken by next highest bid.
So another (4 player) example. (are order of tied bids)
Player | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
Venice | 4 | 3(1) | 2 | 3(1) |
Genoa | 2(2) | 0 | 3 | 3(2) |
Barcelona | 2(1) | 3(2) | 0 | 1 |
Paris | 0 | 3(3) | 1 | 2 |
In this case
Player 1 gets Venice for 4
Player 2 gets Barca for 3
Player 4 gets Genoa for 3
Player 3 gets Paris for 1
