Beorn's AOR Resources

Tools and Aides

To keep track of the development in each of the games, I recommend the following tools/aides:
PBeM rules
This is a collection of 'house rules' we use when playing e-mail games.
Excel workbook (made by Scott Russell)
For keeping track of all the summaries. Excellent work by Scott, and in the Office-97 version I can easily produce summaries to the web.
This excellent mapping tool by Dale Larson is recommended for playing boardgames as PBeMs. I have made a 'gamebox' for use with AoR, and this is available from the Yankee Air Pirates. The AoR maps on this website are outputs from Cyberboard.
Aide-de-Card (Handling the cards)
This is a Dos utility that I picked up from Web-Grognards. The utility has been made for playing 2-player card games as PBeM's. I have customised it to be used with AoR.
AOR Official Errata
I copied the file from Avalon Hill when I heard that the company was history.
Bidding variant for PBeM play
This method of bidding was concocted by Scott Russell and Tim Kniker
Dice-server
Use the e-mail dice-server at www.pbm.com.
